Chain Reaction | 1979
Two teams compete, each composed of two celebrities and one non-celebrity challenger. A board containing eight boxes is revealed. The first and last boxes each contain a visible word; the remaining six boxes each conceal a word that relates to the others.
One player may ask for a letter below or above one of the visible words. If the player guesses the word from the letter that appears, he scores one point per letter that the word contains.
If he fails to guess it, his opponents receive a chance to ask for a letter. Players continue rotating turns until all the words are guessed. The first team to score 50 points is the winner and receives $250.
