Upfronts week continues with ABC and the network is proud to say that they are on their most stable schedule in over a decade, which is good if you’re a fan of their current lineup of shows. They are only adding three scripted shows, ‘Emergence’, ‘Mixed-ish’, and ‘Stumptown’.
‘Black-ish’ is incredibly popular and with the spinoff ‘Grown-ish’ doing well, ABC decided to branch out the show a little bit more. People love Tracee Ellis Ross’s character Rainbow Johnson, but she has a very mysterious past that even her own family doesn’t know about. This show follows the young Bow (Arica Himmel) as she leaves her cult and discovers that the real world is quite different than the life she knew before.
‘mixed-ish’ will air Tuesday’s at 9 PM EST starting in the Fall.
A sheriff (Allison Tolman) is announced to the scene of a plane crash, the strange thing is a little girl Piper (Alexa Swinton) is found at the scene who wasn’t on the plane, with no scratches, and with no memories of her life. As it turns out people want this kid and she might be not just a normal child.
‘Emergence’ will air Tuesdays at 10 PM EST starting in the Fall.
This might be the show I’d be most interested in. Inspired by the Graphic Novel series by the same name Dex Parios (Cobie Smulders) is an army vet who will do what it takes to get the job done. Cops are limited by the law on what they are allowed to do, so Miles Hoffman (Michael Ealy) offers Dex the chance to be a PI. The scene of the crooks in the car with Sweet Caroline is pretty great, and if the show stays up to that scene I’m in.
‘Stumptown’ will air Wednesdays at 10 PM EST starting in the Fall.
