AMC heightens the surrounding suspense of the final episodes of Breaking Bad by announcing yesterday that comedian Chris Hardwick will be hosting its after show, Talking Bad.  The live show will air after every new episode of the season, hosting actors and producers of the show, as well as fans. Talking Bad will also have an interactive component where viewers will be able to participate by submitting their questions and comments directly to the show. AMC has experienced much success with this exact format of television. Hardwick’s last show Talking Dead, the after-party of The Walking Dead, was of a similar vein

Joel Stillerman, executive VP of original content, addresses AMC’s previous success with Hardwick in the announcement, “We have had so much success with Chris Hardwick and Talking Dead the show-talking-about-a-show that attracted more than five million live viewers after last season’s The Talking Dead finale.”

Chris Hardwick seemed to be bittersweet concerning the new show, “Breaking Bad will go down as one of the best shows in television history. Obviously, it’s tonally much different than The Walking Dead, and I will strive to give Breaking Bad the send off it deserves. I am honored to be able to give fans a peek behind the curtain for the last eight episodes so we can all say goodbye to it together. AMC will tell you that it’s because of the success of Talking Dead or my friendship with the BB cast that they asked me to host this, but I maintain it probably has more to do with my unmistakable resemblance to Jesse Pinkman, BITCH.” We could not agree more.
