I’m not one to say whether or not Christina Aguilera made The Voice the hit it is, but I do know not to try and break something that is obviously working. Which explains why, despite earlier rumors suggesting otherwise, Aguilera will return as a coach on NBC’s breakout hit, The Voice. And yep, she’ll still be making about three times as much as her other coaches earn (Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton are all returning next year as well).
I’m going to count this one as a bad news item because it gives Aguilera fewer chances to embarrass herself in the public forum. However, it might cause her ego to expand beyond help and that could have some potential. Who knows. All I know is that I’ll be skipping The Voice for another season.
