Kurt Novack is an FBI agent whose work takes him away from his wife, Michelle, and their young son, Johnny. Kurt's latest case involves a serial killer who photographs his victims before killing them, then leaves their pictures beside their dead bodies. Thinking they have found a suspect in Australia, the FBI sends Kurt to witness the cross-examination. Rather than leave his family, Kurt takes Michelle and Johnny along for the trip. In Australia, Kurt is unconvinced that police have nabbed the right man. When he and his family arrive at the airport to board their flight home, they are surprised to learn they have been bumped to another flight. They are greeted by flight attendant Justin Shaw. During the flight, Michelle receives a gift of a pair of earrings that she thinks are from Kurt. They are not. Soon, Kurt's phone rings and the killer is on the other line. Before long, one of the passengers is dead and Kurt realizes that his wife and son are the next targets.
