Crisis Center | 1996
Kathy, a psychology student, works as an intern at a San Francisco crisis center where her bright and perceptive nature is put to use in the frenetic and sometimes troubling environment. She works with a close-knit staff of young professionals. Kathy's mentor is Dr. Rick Buckley, a free-thinking psychiatrist who founded the Center and serves as its director. Co-director Lily Gannon, a social worker with a bureaucratic mindset, helps keep the Center afloat --and strives to keep her once-romantic relationship with Rick strictly professional. There are also Tess Robinson, the Center's attorney, and Nando Taylor, a street-wise youth counselor. The young officer on the beat, Gary McDermott, is involved with many of the Center's cases and hopes to get personally involved with Kathy.
