It’s been announced that everyone’s favorite The CW superheroes, Supergirl and The Flash, are coming together to do another crossover episode. But, this one has a twist: it’s going to feature plenty of musical numbers!
“Some of you may know my own personal love of musicals and actors who have been in them, and we have a number of people who can sing across all the shows who will be making some very exciting appearances in the back half of the year,” executive producer Greg Berlanti told reporters at the Television Critics Association’s press tour on Thursday according to Entertainment Weekly.
In reality it makes sense because the stars of these shows were never lacking in the musical talent department. For Supergirl, they have Melissa Benoist who got her start on Fox’s Glee and Jeremy Jordan who has had his fair share of time under the Broadway spotlight. For The Flash, they have Grant Gustin who also appeared on Glee and Jesse L. Martin who starred in the classic, Rent. So, it’s really about time that these actors show-off their other talents whilst saving the world!
