Delta Airlines Stands By Kicking YouTube Star Adam Saleh Off His Flight — Read The Statement

Delta Airlines cause an Internet uproar earlier this week when they ejected YouTube star Adam Saleh from a flight at Heathrow Airport. The YouTuber claimed he was kicked off of the airplane because he spoke in Arabic to his mother on the phone — but Delta isn’t buying it.

Saleh’s story went viral leading to the trending hashtag of #BoycottDelta on Twitter, but the airline isn’t backing down. In a recent statement, the company defends their decision to boot Saleh and his friend Slim Albaher from their flight. The statement reads:

“Upon landing the crew was debriefed and multiple passenger statements collected. Based on the information collected to date, it appears the customers who were removed sought to disrupt the cabin with provocative behavior, including shouting. This type of conduct is not welcome on any Delta flight. While one, according to media reports, is a known prankster who was video recorded and encouraged by his traveling companion, what is paramount to Delta is the safety and comfort of our passengers and employees. It is clear these individuals sought to violate that priority.”

Saleh is known for being a trouble-maker and prankster on flights. He previous posted a YouTube video of himself attempting to provoke passengers by counting down in Arabic, as well as numerous videos of him and his pals being loud and generally obnoxious on planes. There is one thing that’s certain — the kid seems like a nightmare to sit next to; however, speaking Arabic? That’s a non-issue and if that’s what set Delta off they should be ashamed.
