Descendants 3 stars send texts to late castmate as film premieres

Tragic actor Cameron Boyce’s Descendants 3 castmates said their farewells to the late actor in a series of heartfelt texts sent just before the TV premiere of their final film together.
The movie hit the Disney Channel on Friday night (02Aug19) and minutes before the premiere, Dove Cameron and BooBoo Stewart sent messages to their late pal.
Dove shared a screen grab from her group text chain with Cameron, BooBoo and their co-star Sofia Carson, in which they sent their love to Boyce.
Carson also posted an image of the four young stars on Instagram and added the caption: “core four. forever and for always.”
Dove also posted a picture of the quartet goofing around on set and wrote: “my family. big night tonight.”
Dove recently told Seventeen the group text chat has been helping her cope with her friend’s death.
“It’s hard when there are no adequate words to express the pain we are all feeling, but the usual text is ‘love you’, or ‘are you eating?’ or ‘how are we all today?'” she said.
“I think something like this horrible loss makes you realize how important you are all to each other. I am grateful for my chosen family at a time like this.”
Boyce, 20, passed away in his sleep last month (Jul19) after suffering an epileptic seizure.
With permission from the Boyce family, Disney Channel bosses dedicated the telecast of Descendants 3 in the late star’s memory.
