The actor, who revives his Bobby Ewing character in the cult show’s comeback next year (12), was attending a motor home exhibition in Birmingham, England when he appeared as a guest on morning programme Daybreak.
He showed off his skills at the grill by frying eggs and sizzling bacon for the crew – but he was disappointed at the small-scale British breakfast.
As he tended to the meat, Duffy said, “This is a small barbecue. It’s not like the Dallas, sort of Texas barbecue. We do the entire pig on the barbecue. Once you get past the squealing, the food is fantastic.”

But the actor was left-red faced after taking his eye off his cooking for a brief interview, telling viewers: “Do not look back down at the bacon – we have burnt the bacon!”
