It’s that time of week again. Here’s our list of the best shows to set your DVR for this week.
Ursula Coyote/AMC
Breaking Bad
The final season of the hit drama is upon us – are you watching? If not, you better because only a few more episodes and the show is off the air for good! Episode three airs Sunday night on AMC.
Ray Donovan
Without a doubt the best new show of the summer! Liev Schreiber plays a Hollywood fix it man whose dysfunctional father (a superb Jon Voight) is causing more problems than his actual clients. The show is midway through its first season, and was recently renewed for a second. Showtime is constantly airing old episodes, meaning you can catch up fairly quickly before the newest airs Sunday night.
America’s Got Talent
Is it a guilty pleasure? Yes. But the summer is always a time to sit back and relax. And what better way to do it than with some stupid human tricks, otherwise known as America’s Got Talent. Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, Mel B. from the Spice Girls and supermodel Heidi Klum round out the cast of judges. New episodes air Tuesday and Wednesday nights on NBC.
Broadchurch
The murder of a pre-teen boy in a sleepy English coastal town uncovers unexpected secrets and lies among the townspeople. Former Doctor Who star David Tennant and Olivia Colman (better known for her comedic roles) star in this stylish import airing Wednesday nights on BBC America.
Low Winter Sun
Set in the recently bankrupt Detroit, AMC hopes to pick up where shows like The Shield left off. Crime, corruption, mob bosses, and cops…what more can you ask for? New episodes air every Sunday.
