Melissa Gilbert was a no-show on Tuesday’s episode of Dancing with the Stars as she was injured mid-performance the night before and rushed to the hospital. Though she suffered a concussion and whiplash, Gilbert got back on the dance floor at rehearsals on Wednesday. But despite her high spirits and eagerness to compete, Gilbert’s dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy tells Hollywood.com that the 47-year-old former Little House on the Prairie star is still experiencing pain.
“We know how much we have to accomplish in the short time that we have,” Chmerkovskiy says. “But I’m also taking every precaution to make sure that I don’t put too much stress on Melissa as she still has very a sore neck and aheadache.”
While Gilbert may still be sore, it sounds like she’s on the path to recovery. And since she’s back at practice, we can probably expect to see her and Chmerkovskiy back in the next round of competition.
