‘Elementary’ Lands Coveted Post-Super Bowl Slot

ALTCBS has picked the modern Sherlock Holmes drama Elementary to follow the network’s Super Bowl broadcast on February 3.

Putting a freshman show on after the ratings giant football game generally helps the young show get an increase in ratings. Recent examples of this success story include CBS’ Criminal Minds, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, Fox’s Glee and NBC’s The Voice. However, reality series tend to do better than scripted following American TV’s highest-rated yearly telecast.
