Elizabeth Banks developing DC Super Hero High series

Elizabeth Banks is developing a small screen comedy, titled Dc Super Hero High, for HBO’s new streaming service.

The actress-turned-director will executive produce the series, which was announced on Tuesday (October 29, 2019) as part of a range of DC projects set to be released via HBO Max.

“Experiencing the fun and drama of adolescence at a boarding school for gifted kids, these teens are just trying to navigate the pressures of high school, but none of them realize that someday they will become legendary DC Super Heroes,” a press release describing the series reads.

DC Super Hero High joins an adaptation of the comic book series Green Lantern and Strange Adventures, which will also be available as part of the platform following the new HBO venture’s launch in May 2020.
