Ethel Is an Elephant | 1979
While walking home, New York photographer Eugene Henderson crosses the path of an abandoned and injured baby elephant named Ethel. Noticing that the elephant is limping, Eugene removes a nail that is lodged in her foot. The grateful elephant follows Eugene home and creates a problem when Eugene tries to conceal her from his landlord. The pilot depicts the courtroom battle that ensues when Harold Brainer, the landlord, tries unsuccessfully to evict Eugene and Ethel from the apartment house.
