Explosion at Disneyland sparks evacuation

An investigation has been launched following an explosion at California’s Disneyland theme park. A bomb squad was immediately dispatched to the attraction in Anaheim, California on Tuesday (28May13) and visitors were evacuated after a small blast in the Toontown area of the resort.
Police officers secured the area and subsequently concluded the incident was caused by dry ice inside a plastic bottle which exploded in a trash can.
Toontown was reopened around two hours after the blast and police are investigating whether the incident is linked to other dry ice explosions in trash cans which have occurred around Anaheim in recent months, according to the Los Angeles Times.
