Synopsis

In New York City, Eddie Walker, a World War II veteran and family man has a problem: his teenage daughter, Patty, who longs to attend London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. In London, Tommy Finch, Eddie's buddy from the war, has a similar problem: his teenage daughter, Heather, yearns to acquaint herself with the American way of life. In an attempt to satisfy their children, both Eddie and Tommy agree to exchange daughters for one year to allow the girls the opportunity to fulfill a dream.

The series, set in both New York and London, relates the adventures of Patty Walker and Heather Finch as they attempt to adjust to life in a foreign land.
