Synopsis

When his brother and sister-in-law are killed in an automobile accident, Bill Davis, the president of the Davis and Gaynor Construction Company in New York City, agrees to raise his brother's children rather than split them up among relatives who do not want them. Assisted by his gentleman's gentleman, Giles French, Bill tries to provide love and security to one teenager (Catherine, known as Cissy) and two lonely and disillusioned children (twins Buffy and Jody).

Realistically depicting childrens' needs and feelings, and showing that adults are capable of making mistakes, "Family Affair" distinguishes itself from other family comedies by its heartwarming, sentimental, and at times, sad stories.
