‘Family Guy,’ ‘American Dad’ Postponed in Wake of Sandy Hook Shootings

Family GuyFOX is the latest network to change its scheduling lineup as a result of the mass shooting in Connecticut.

Following the Syfy channel and Paramount Picture‘s lead, the network is opting to postpone new episodes of the controversial shows, Family Guy and American Dad in lieu of repeats. The Futon Critic reports the change was made in order to avoid airing any new material that could be deemed sensitive in light of recent events.

Instead of Family Guy showing “Jesus, Mary and Joseph!” at 9pm on Sunday, the episode will be replaced with “Grumpy Old Man.” American Dad should have followed with “Minstrel Krampus” but will re-air “Wheels & The Legman and The Case of Grandpa’s Key.”
