‘The Walking Dead’: Season 4 Premiere ‘Bigger Than Anything’ On the Zombie Show Before

The Walking Dead  just wrapped up Season 3 with a bloody finale in March, but in AMC’s first look at Season 4, co-executive producer, special effects makeup artist and director Greg Nicotero is already promising that the upcoming season will be the “best season yet.”

The Season 4 premiere of the post-apocalyptic zombie horror series based on the comic book collection of the same name is written by the show’s new showrunner, Scott Gimple. Gimple’s previous fan favorites have included Season 3’s shocking reunion in episode 12, “Clear”. This fall’s premiere will be directed by Nicotero, who describes the episode as “bigger than any script [they’ve] ever done before.”

New characters and Nicotero’s description of “a lot of really good twists” will bring Season 4 to life when The Walking Dead invades AMC again this October.
