Gasherbrum: Ascent on G-2 | 1999
Seattle-based climber Christine Boskoff is one of the few women to reach world-class status in the male-dominated world of mountain climbing. There are only 14 mountains in the world that are over 8000 meters and Christine Boskoff wants to be the first woman ever to climb all 14 of them. Only a handful of men have climbed all 14. Having already summitted 3 peaks, Christine traveled half way across the world to ascend her fourth peak -- Gasherbrum II, looming more than 5 miles high in Pakistan's rugged Karakorum mountain range. Leading an expedition of climbers, film crew and over 200 porters along the journey, Boskoff is in for a rugged trek that tries her physical and mental limits.
