Synopsis

A television movie about one Jean Louis Chavel, a wealthy attorney, who is wrongly imprisoned during the German occupation of France. He is later marked for execution, but offers his worldly possessions to Mangeot, a prisoner who takes his place. After the war he returns to his old home and falls in love with Mangeot's sister, now the owner of the house. But an imposter turns up, claiming to be Chavel, and a tragic love triangle ensues.
