Michael Olshanky's career as a police officer ends when he is spotted taking money from a crime scene. His home life is also in disarray as his wife leaves him, taking custody of his son. He must now take a job as a cabbie to make ends meet. When he helps save one of his fares from a beating, he begins to realize he can still help people and perhaps redeem himself in the process. With the help of his closest confidants, Marcellus Washington, his former partner who owes him dearly, and Father Grzelak, a dear freind, he is able to mete out justice and protect the innocent while trying to make amends with his family and himself.
