Synopsis

"The mailman, the grocer, and even school kids know; it's worth their while to stop and watch that smile when Hazel says hello..." The original format of the series (1961-65) depicts events in the lives of the Baxter family: George, an attorney; his wife Dorothy; their son Harold; and their maid Hazel Burke. Stories relate Hazel's misadventures as she meddles in George's professional life as well as his family life.

In the revised format of the series (1965-66), Hazel and George's son Harold move in with George's younger brother Steve when George is transferred to the Middle East on business and he and Dorothy decide to leave their other son in Steve's care. Stories continue to depict Hazel's scatterbrained attempts to run the younger Baxter household.
