HBO Sets Premiere Date for ‘Boardwalk Empire’

Steve Buscemi Boardwalk EmpireWho woulda thought an HBO series about organized crime produced by Martin Scorsese and Mark Wahlberg, and starring the venerable Steve Buscemi, would become such a colossal hit? Probably everyone, actually. And they were right. The first season of Boardwalk Empire was wildly revered by the public and critics alike, and no one expects the second season to be a disappointment. Season 2, consisting of twelve episodes, will premiere on HBO on Sunday, September 25, at 9/8c, so make no other plans for that weekend (it’ll require at least 36 hours of emotional preparation).

Also returning to HBO this Fall are comedies Hung, How to Make it in America and Bored to Death, and talk show Real Time with Bill Maher. Newcomers to the station include Enlightened, starring and produced by Laura Dern, and, premiering in January, Luck (a series revolving around the life of horse-racing; starring Dustin Hoffman and directed by Michael Mann). The confirmed programming schedule for this Fall is listed below:
