Synopsis

The lightweight story of former WBA Lightweight Champion Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, who claimed he fought to keep alive the dream of his dad, a one-time lightweight contender whose chance at the title was dashed by World War II and being wounded in action. Sylvester Stallone, one of the screen's most famous fictional boxers, not only was executive producer of this film but also choreographed the fight sequences as he had done for his Rocky movies.

Before acquiring its final title, this superficial TV movie biography was called, variously, "Dreams Don't Die -- The Ray Mancini Story," "A Champion's Edge" and "I Walk in Your Shadow," and probably had several other earlier names during production.
