Heidi Klum’s Reality Show Sued Again

Heidi Klum‘s reality show Project Runway has been hit with another lawsuit for copyright infringement.

Designer Cynthia Rodriguez and fashion merchandiser Elizabeth Marie Ann Zwiebach have filed a legal action which claims they offered the concept for a program called American Runway to Klum‘s agents in July 2003—three months before the supermodel and production company Miramax launched their own show based on a similar premise.

Rodriguez, who registered their idea with the Writer’s Guild of America (WGA) in March 2003, says, “What we’re hoping to get out of this is the recognition that this is our copyrighted property, and also some kind of monetary compensation.”

This is not the first legal trouble to befall Project Runaway—writer Joel Lamontagne sued producers for copyright infringement last month.
