Synopsis

On June 12, 1997, with Queen Elizabeth II in attendance, the reconstruction of Shakepeare's Globe Theatre was officially opened. A documentary introduction shows how the Globe's return provides actors, designers and historians with new insights into Shakespeare's plays. Act IV from "Henry V" is then presented on the stage, directed by Richard Olivier and featuring Shakespearean actors and Globe Theatre artistic director Mark Rylance in the title role.
