History IQ | 2000
Game show that quizzes contestants on their knowledge of history. During each show, their is the potential to win $30,000. Viewers can play along at home via the Internet in real-time and also have the opportunity to win prizes.
The structure of the show includes three contestants playing for dollar value points over the course of two primary rounds and one bonus round. After the first round, the contestant with the lowest score is eliminated. Round 1, "Eye Q," begins with a video clip or picture of a famous historical moments, person or structure. Contestants are then asked questions pertaining to the image presented.
Round 2, "Triplets," is played with the remaining two contestants. A list of three people, events or things is shown and a question posed wherein one of them is the right answer. Then, follow up questions are asked about that person, event or thing. The round segues into a speed round with higher point values.
The contestant with the highest score at the end of the speed round is declared the winner and advances to the final bonus round, named "Timeline." The bonus round positions the winner in a 60-second race against the clock to place correctly various current events to the year in which they occurred.
