Synopsis

This documentary explores the life of Margaret Lambert (Born Gretel Bergmann in Germany in 1914), a Jewish high jumper who trained to compete for the German Olympic team in the 1936 Summer Games in Berlin, but was cut from the team just prior to the opening ceremonies due to the reigning Nazi party. Lambert returned to Germany 68 years later, to revisit her hometown athletic fields and former teammates.
