Fallon and Timberlake’s #Hashtags Rule The World

article is about how we are now thinking and speaking in hashtagslatenight/YouTube

Somehow Twitter’s hashtag has truly infiltrated every form of media. Subway’s newly aired commercial shows speaking in hashtag as the main communication used at the table. The guy apparently loses his lunch because he’s too busy on his phone thinking of clever hashtags to post his photo with.

CBS’ The Millers had an episode with the daughter Mikayla reading a tweet from her phone, ending it with ‘hashtag I just wish she wouldn’t tweet so much about smoking weed.’

While these might seem like forgettable instances of the ever popular hashtag, who can forget the hashtagging on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake have certainly embraced the hashtagging phenomena and what better way to legitimize what a staple the hashtag has become. It seems we are doomed to be hashtagging not just photos or tweets, but now real life moments also. #forreal
