Live Through This | 2000
Drama series about The Jackson Decker Band, a 1980's rock-n-roll band whose members reunite after nearly thirty years for a summer tour. The band members decide to take their kids with them, but the initial rush of excitement gives way to the realities of the road. The burning issues of love, sex and other coming-of-age questions are heightened by living on a bus and rolling into a new city every few days. Darby Parsons, the daughter of drummer Rick Parsons, is a shy but perceptive 16-year-old. Olivia Rooney, daughter of Keith Rooney, is a street-smart 18-year-old. Her brother, Chase Rooney, is fresh out of Stanford and managing the tour. 19-year-old Travis Williams shows up at the tour to meet his biological father, Jackson Decker guitarist Drake Taylor, for the first time. Tallulah "Lu" Baker is wise beyond her 21 years due to a lifetime of looking out for her fragile rock diva mother, Annie Baker.
Lead singer Annie Baker is a recovering alcoholic with crippling stage fright; Keith Rooney squandered all his money over the years, but managed to maintain his massive ego; Rick Parsons matured from wild-youth superstar to overprotective suburban father, reluctant to return to the spotlight; and Drake Taylor, after seeing his musical career rise and fall, repeated the pattern with his unsuccessful acting career.
