Actress Mackenzie Phillips has reportedly entered rehab after a judge in Los Angeles slapped her with felony charges stemming from her arrest last month for possession of a controlled substance.
Phillips, 48, was charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor on Wednesday in connection with the arrest, which was made at Los Angeles’ LAX airport after the actress failed a routine security screening there on Aug. 27.
According to TMZ.com, Phillips, who is charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, heroin and cocaine, and one misdemeanor count of unauthorized possession of a needle or syringe–has entered an unknown rehabilitation facility in an effort to get clean.
Following her arrest, Phillips spent a night behind bars before she was released on bail. She is scheduled to be arraigned in October.
