The authorities responded to 75-year-old Mason’s apartment in New York on Friday morning after he called 911 and told the police his 48-year-old girlfriend Kaoru Suzuki-McMullen had scratched him in a fight.
According to TMZ.com, Mason told police that he and Suzuki-McMullen had fought over a phone after he threatened to call his building’s doorman. He wrestled the receiver from his girlfriend and called 911 instead.
According to law enforcement sources, Suzuki-McMullen was arrested and charged with misdemeanour assault.
