Medical bosses deny responsibility in Bill Paxton wrongful death suit

Hospital officials are seeking the dismissal of a wrongful death lawsuit filed against them following the passing of actor Bill Paxton.
The Apollo 13 star died in February, 2017, a week after undergoing heart surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
In the legal action, filed by Paxton’s widow, Louise, and his kids, James and Lydia, earlier this year (18), they claimed Dr. Ali Khoynezhad provided “negligent diagnosis, management and treatment” to Paxton.
They also suggested a delay in surgery led to the 61-year-old suffering cardiogenic shock and a compromised right coronary artery.
However, Cedars-Sinai bosses and representatives for Dr. Khoynezhad, who is also named in the suit, have now hit back, insisting Paxton was fully aware of “certain dangers and risks involved” in the operation.
In their response, obtained by TheBlast.com, they go on to claim Paxton was more susceptible to complications because he had “an existing condition”.
They are asking the judge overseeing the case to dismiss the claims.
