Director/producer Michael Bay has already earned major box office success (and jeers from critics) with action flicks like Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and Transformers. It seems Bay noticed there’s a dearth of explosions on television, because he’s executive producing a reality competition series for A&E.
Bay’s first foray into television will also be the first competition show for the network, which is known for the reality hits Hoarders and Intervention. The untitled project is still in the early stages of development, so it’s a bit early to start speculating on what Bay will bring to cable TV.
However, don’t be surprised if a year from now you see cleaning people zip-lining into the homes of hoarders and screaming, “We’re not going to leave any stacks of old magazines behind, damn it!”
