Million Dollar Quartet musical to be adapted for TV

Rock ‘n’ roll musical Million Dollar Quartet is to be adapted for the small screen.
Producers at Thinkfactory Media and executives at U.S. network CMT are teaming up to adapt the 2010 Broadway musical into an eight-episode TV series to premiere later this year (16).
The Tony Award-nominated show tells the story of what might have happened during a 1956 jam session when Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley teamed up.
The series will coincide with the 60th anniversary of the famed recording sessions, and production is set to begin in Memphis, Tennessee this spring (16).
