Millions of Reasons to Kill | 2001
When his father, mother and sister were gunned down at the family's home, Dana Ewell had the perfect alibi -- he was 200 miles away having Easter Sunday dinner with the family of an FBI agent. The victims had been shot to death in what appeared to be a botched burglary attempt. Dana Ewell, 21 years old, stood to inherit millions. Investigators discovered that Dana's college buddy, Joel Radovich, had an alibi that didn't check out, and financial links between the two were revealed. The police found a friend of Radovich's, Jack Once, who told investigators that Radovich confessed to being the triggerman for Dana. After a lengthy trial, Dana Ewell and Joel Radovich were sentenced to three consecutive life sentences. Ewell is appealing.
