Model Behavior | 1999
Alex Burrows is a shy teen attracted to her high school's top jock, Eric. But in the cruel world of teen hierarchy, Alex deems herself too low on the social ladder to even hope to talk to him. After an embarrassing encounter, Alex goes home and gazes upon a fashion magazine featuring reigning teen model Janine Adams. Meanwhile, in Manhattan, the teen supermodel is craving food, but Deirdre, her mother and manager, keeps her eye on Janine's every move to make sure she keeps her fabulous figure. When Janine has a personal appearance for a book tour, Deirdre is unable to attend because of a modeling shoot for Janine's brother Max. Catering the event is Alex's father, Ted, who presses Alex into service. Janine spots a tray of forbidden foods, follows the tray and discovers Alex. The two girls are startled to realize how much they look alike. They make plans to slip into each other's lives to see how it feels.
