Mona McCluskey | 1965
The series, set in Hollywood, California, relates the trials and tribulations of Mona McCluskey, a beautiful film actress (known as Mona Carroll) who earns $5,000 a week and lives in a moderately furnished two-room apartment away from the Affluent Society to please her husband, U.S. Air Force Sergeant Mike McCluskey, who earns and insists they live on his salary of $500 per month. Incorporating methods that are a bit deceiving, Mona struggles to supplement the strained family budget without arousing Mike's suspicions.
The series was originally scheduled as "Presenting Mona McCluskey" and a pilot episode was filmed under that title. The pilot episode was produced, written and directed by Don McGuire for United Artists TV.
