Dale Earnhardt, Jr. escapes plane crash in Tennessee

Racing car driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has reportedly escaped a fiery airplane crash in Tennessee.
The twin-engine Cessna Citation Latitude, registered to Earnhardt’s JR Motorsports, crashed at Elizabethton Municipal Airport in Carter County on Thursday afternoon (15Aug19).
Officials tell TMZ Dale made it off of the plane alive, but his current status is still unknown.
Earnhardt’s wife, Amy, and their one-year-old daughter, Isla, were also on board, according to reports. Both are said to be OK.
Dale’s sister, Kelley, tells the outlet, “Everyone is safe and has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. We have no further information at this time.”
An investigation into the cause of the crash has been launched.
