Now that the full, horrifying extent of Hurricane Sandy’s damage to the East Coast is becoming clear, the entertainment community is rallying to lend their support to the victims. NBC plans a one-hour telethon this Friday across its networks, hosted by Matt Lauer and featuring top-tier performers, to raise money for the American Red Cross.
Airing at 8:00 p.m. on NBC, Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, Style, Syfy, and USA, Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together will broadcast live on the East Coast from NBC’s 30 Rock studios in New York and tape-delayed for the West Coast. The telethon will welcome performances from Bruce Springsteen, Christina Aguilera, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, and Sting, along with appearances by Jimmy Fallon and Brian Williams.
