On Thursday, March 3, NBC plans to air six episodes of The Office back to back to back to back to back to back to celebrate (mourn? make more people aware of? remind us about?) Michael Scott’s eminent departure from the show. So instead of using the time to run reruns of their other shows that could use the exposure (like Community or Parks and Recreation) they decide to fill in the time with their juggernaut of a show. I mean, I understand the reasoning — NBC is tanking in the ratings. But when the network basically becomes a glorified DVD player with advertisements? Yeah, that’s fucked up.
