7 New Fall Shows We’re Dying to Check Out

All your favorite shows are going on hiatus for the summer, but never fear. In the fall, there will be a new crop of shows to enjoy in addition to all your returning faves. The networks recently previewed their new slate, and based on the trailers, we were able to judge which ones look promising and which ones we’ll skip. Here are some we think have potential:

1. Scream Queens

From Ryan Murphy, the creator of Glee and American Horror Story, this Fox horror-comedy show kind of looks like…well, Glee meets American Horror Story. It’s about a college sorority that gets rocked by a series of murders. You’ve got Emma Roberts at her b*tchy best, Lea Michele in a neck brace and guest appearances from Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande. Sold.

2. The Catch

Shonda Rhimes has done it again! She continues her ABC takeover with yet another show. This one stars The Killing’s Mireille Enos as a fraud investigator who finds herself the victim of a con. It was recently reported that the show is recasting two of its leads – including One Tree Hill alum Bethany Joy Lenz. We’re not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Guess we’ll have to watch and see!

3. Limitless

Ok, so the movie version with Bradley Cooper was not that great, BUT we think the premise might work better as a TV show. Plus, the CBS show features Dexter’s Jennifer Carpenter and guest appearances by B. Coop himself.

4. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

This show had an interesting journey. First, it was developed for Showtime, but the network ultimately passed and the CW picked it up. It’s from The Devil Wears Prada screenwriter, Aline Brosh McKenna, and it could very well be this year’s Jane the Virgin.

5. Minority Report

Like the movie but with – bonus – no Tom Cruise! We’re usually iffy on movies turned into TV shows, but we’re also sick of the typical cop procedural, so maybe this will be a fun change.

6. Quantico

Priyanka Chopra, a former Bollywood star, looks totally badass in this FBI-conspiracy drama. Based on the trailer, she seems like the most interesting person in the cast, but we’d give this show a shot just for her.

7. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

The CW has had success with their comic book shows – in particular Arrow and The Flash – so we have hope for this one. A group of heroes and villains team up to take on one major threat. The show features Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. Prison Break reunion, anyone?

What fall shows are YOU looking forward to?
