Hey there Happy Endings lovers are you ready for some truly amahzing news?
Even though we’re all still absolutely and completely devastated by the fact that ABC prematurely cancelled our beloved show, there is one small shiny glimmer of goodness that has come out of all this — Damon Wayans Jr. is retuning to New Girl!
That’s right, Wayans is set to reprise his short-lived, athletically volatile character of Coach in Season 3 of New Girl, TV Line reports. Many fans remember that Wayans kicked some serious comedic booty in the New Girl pilot but was forced to leave the adorkable comedy when Happy Endings was picked up for a second season.
So what will Coach be up to and how long can we expect him to be staying in the loft? E! Online reports that Wayans will be returning for six episode with a possibility for more and his arc will be “heavily integrated into Winston’s storyline.”
We really don’t care what his New Girl episodes entail, as long Wayans brings his former TV wife Eliza Coupe with him! Best. Couple. Ever.
