New ‘Kourtney & Kim Take New York’ Trailer Teases Demise of Kim’s Marriage

There were rumors that in light of recent visits to splitsville, the second season of Kourtney & Kim Take New York would get the ax. The rumor is apparently not true, and to be frank, it just wouldn’t make sense at a time like this. The timing is almost too perfect.

A mere week after Kim Kardashian announces her split from her husband of approximately seven master cleanse cycles, we get this: the promo for her latest reality series: Kourtney and Kim Take New York Season 2. Now, we’re not saying it was planned this way (we’ll leave that speculation to you) we’re just saying E! and Ryan Seacrest must be super pleased that this serendipitously-timed announcement is placed so perfectly to boost the next leg of the Kardashian reality series empire. It’s so exciting! While one marriage struggles to survive the other one crumbles! Wait, isn’t the struggling one just a slow-burning crumble? We’ll let that go. We get to find out why Kim and Kris called it quits! Kris has fun without Kim! He announces his location on Twitter! She bosses him around! Are you excited? We’re just smiling and yelling and sort of confused. Where are we?

Celebrity Editor Kelsea Stahler was born in a pile of dirt. Okay, she was actually born in an old Naval hospital in San Diego, which then became a pile of dirt and remained as such for a number of years before becoming a parking lot perfectly sized for circus tents, and finally a museum. She eventually left San Diego to attend New York University, where she studied Journalism and English literature — two less-than profitable liberal arts degrees about which guidance counselors warned her. Against all odds, she now resides in Brooklyn, where she fights the constant fear that the locals will soon discover she isn’t quite cool enough to live there, and makes a living writing absurd, pop culture features about Batman, zombies, vampires, funny people, and Ron Swanson.
