Fans of The Vampire Diaries rejoice, after much speculation, Nina Dobrev is officially back for the series finale of The Vampire Diaries. If you recall, fans were devastated when Dobrev left the series after starring as Elena Gilbert for six seasons.
After Elena was turned into a vampire during the third season, she had some trouble adjusting to life on the dark side. Though she tried to keep her life from falling apart, Elena eventually decided to sacrifice herself with a very long sleep spell in order to save her BFF Bonnie. However, it may be time for Ms. Gilbert to arise.
Though TVD producers were uncertain that Dobrev would return for the end of the series. It looks like she will officially be back. Dobrev took to her Instagram today to announce the news with the caption. “I know it’s Thursday, but this is not a TBT. #BackOnSet #TVDForever”
