In an announcement that’ll probably be more surprising than anything to come out of the ceremony itself, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin have been named the hosts of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards.
That’s right – hosts. Plural.
The veteran actors will co-host “Hollywood’s Biggest Night,” which will air March 7 on ABC.
It’ll mark the third time Martin has hosted the Oscars and the first such honor for Baldwin, who was Oscar-nominated for 2003’s The Cooler. The most recent ceremony was hosted by Hugh Jackman.
For those who can’t wait until March to see Baldwin and Martin together onscreen, the duo will share screen time (and Meryl Streep) in the Christmas Day romantic comedy It’s Complicated.
So … good choice(s)?
