We know very little about the season premiere of Glee, but now we’ve got one more thing to add to our very tiny list: a visual aid. With these photos, we now know that Season 3 premieres on September 20 with an episode called “The Purple Piano Project” and that we’ll see Rachel (Lea Michele) sing some sort of solo in the choir room (surprise, surprise) and we’ll see the glee club perform something with Mercedes (Amber Riley) as the lead and then entire gang dressed like grapes. Okay, they’re just wearing purple, but it is a ridiculous shade of purple. It seems that they may be taking this “return to Season 1” thing a little too seriously — these outfits look remarkably similar to their humble red ensembles they wore to perform “Don’t Stop Beleiving” in the show’s pilot episode. Take a look for yourself and here’s hoping Fox gets looser lips in the coming weeks because 19 days is a long time to wait for more Glee.
