Director Alexandre Aja turned the area into Lake Victoria for his disaster film, which opens in America this weekend (beg20Aug10), but town leaders are keen to point out there are no deadly fish in Lake Havasu.
Official Jeff Blumenfeld tells the Los Angeles Times, “We’re gritting our teeth – we’re just hoping that the reaction is a good one for the city… We haven’t see any piranha.”
